I actually really like Monday. It's a great day. Sunday is a day of rest, so I always feel recharged on Monday, ready to get back to the routine. Monday is my menu planning, list-making, schedule changing day. I used the printable chore charts from Motivated Moms last year, with mild success. Having the baby mixed things up and there were months that I never used. Still, even though I didn't used it all, it is a great planning tool and I like the two-week menu planner template. Today I sat down and wrote out my menu for the next two weeks, made my grocery shopping list, and cleaned up my house.
I had the luxury of having the big boy go to his Oma's house early this morning, so I only had the baby underfoot to combat in the housecleaning wars. I fixed the vacuum this morning and actually managed to to the whole apartment and the sofa. Phew. That needed to be done.
Here's the dinner menu for the week:
Monday - Baked Salmon, kale chips, broccoli
Tuesday - Beef, bean and rice burritos (with hidden veggies!)
Wednesday - Sloppy Joes, broccoli (freezer meal for a busy day)
Thursday - Appl-Maple Chicken, Butternut Squash
Friday - Pizza with sourdough crust
Saturday - Roast beef, roast cauliflower, brussels sprouts
Sunday - Hidden veg chilli (freezer meal) and cornbread
Breakfast is typically eggs, lunches are normally soup and salad or sandwich- this week's soup is bacon, tomato and kale soup.
